A memorial service will be held Friday, July 29, for Jim McCauley.
The service will begin 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church , 837 Tennent Ave., in Pinole, CA. A reception will be held following the service.
Brother McCauley was a long-time union activist while working at PG&E, and was elected as the local union’s vice president for several terms. He hired onto the Local 1245 staff in 2001 as Assistant Business Manager, a position he held until his retirement.
Brother McCauley passed away on July 4 at his home in Arizona.
“Jim had a long career with PG&E and Local 1245,” said Local 1245 Business Manager Tom Dalzell. “PG&E was a better company because of Jim, Local 1245 was a better union because of Jim, and the world was a better place because of Jim.”
A fuller remembrance of Jm will be published in the future.
Local 1245 extends its condolences to the friends, family and co-workers of Brother Jim McCauley.
