Local 1245 Senior Assistant Business Manager Ron Cochran met in the nation’s capital with representatives of W. A. Chester during the recent IBEW Utility Conference in National Harbor, Maryland.
W.A. Chester is an industry leader in the installation and maintenance of underground high voltage transmission cable and distribution infrastructure for electric utilities. Last year the company completed a major cable replacement job in San Francisco, featured in a Local 1245 video which can be found in the video section of this website.
“They were very good to our members on that project,” said Cochran. “We are hoping they will land another job off Cesar Chavez near 3rd Street” in the city.
Meeting with Cochran were Senior Vice President Frank Musick and President Robert Thompson Jr. The two officers have 60 years of combined experience in the electric utility business.
