MACHINISTS ON STRIKE IN FAIRFIELD COULD USE SOME SUPPORT

 

Machinists Union Local 1173 has been forced to strike against Steve Hopkins Honda/Acura in Fairfield, CA.

They have been without a contract since April, 2010 (9 months)!  Management agreed to come to terms then has done nothing in the passing months to resolve this issue with the machinists.

Picket lines are up and running and will continue until a contract is signed.  They are walking the lines from 10 am to 5 pm, seven days a week and have vowed to be there “as long as it takes”.

They could use any assistance you or your members can offer.  This may be carrying a sign for a period of time or if your schedule does not allow for that, maybe drop off some water/sodas or food/goodies for those who are walking.  The address is 2499 Auto Mall Parkway, Fairfield.  Thanks for the support!
