During 13 hours of negotiations on Oct. 4, negotiators for IBEW Local 1245 and Pacific Gas & Electric made progress toward agreement on a new Clerical contract. The parties plan to resume talks mid-week.

As we all know, in current contract negotiations, PG &E proposed to contract clerical work and to lower the entire wage structure for the newly hired clerical worker. Due to the tragedy in San Bruno, PG&E ‘s Human Resources (HR) staff was unable to meet with the IBEW 1245 Clerical Bargaining Team on Thursday, Sept. 16th as originally scheduled. Bargaining sessions for Sept. 20 and 23 have also been cancelled. Negotiations are set to resume on Monday, September 27.
